Nocturne n°3 (Franz Liszt) played by Axelle Bernard
I’m playing this arrangement for solo guitar on my Cordoba C10 parlor. It’s always be a favourite of mine on the piano (to listen to, as my level on piano is not allowing me to play this yet) and I’m glad I found this solo arrangement for guitar of Dream of Love, Nocturnal n°3 for pianoforte. Hope you like it as well.

What book are you currently reading? I am currently reading 2 books, Good vibes, Good life and The Lady and The Unicorn by Tracy Chevalier.
What’s your favorite movie you saw in theaters this past year? I didn’t see a single movie in the theatre in 2022.
What do you usually wear? I love the combo jeans/graphic t-shirt + hoodie.
How tall are you? 5’7”
Do you go by your name or nickname? I mostly go by my name.
Did you grow up to become what you wanted to be when you were a child? I had many career ambitions when I was a child (astronaut, archaeologist, explorer, shoe designer…) then I wanted to be a film director when I was a teenager and ended up working in the aerospace industry for over a decade now. I also teach classical guitar and produce corporate films so I suppose that I’m now closer to my teenager self’s aspirations.
Are you in a relationship? If not who is your crush if you have one? I am in a relationship of several years.
What’s something you’re good at vs something you’re bad at? I am usually good at the logical stuff and being creative in the kitchen (mostly savoury though). I’m not very comfortable with illogical decisions made by people around me.
Dogs or cats? I prefer cats. I love dogs too but CATS!!!!! They rule!
If you draw/write, or create in any way, what’s your favorite picture/favorite line/favorite etc. from something you created this past year? I didn’t do much drawing or writing last year. With that being said, my partner offered me a graphite drawing set for Christmas and I’m quite pleased with my drawing of the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland.
What is something you would like to create content for? I would love to learn animation. It’s been on my to-do list for so many years… I would love to create a short 3D animation with my own musical compositions.
What’s something you’re currently obsessed with? I got back into board gaming in the last quarter of last year after so many years of not playing anything and I’m loving it. However I struggle to find the time to play. I’m mostly playing solo board games (One Deck Dungeon, Coffee Roaster, Shifting Stones, Bandido, etc.).
What’s something you were excited about that turned out to be disappointing this past year? I usually set myself unreachable targets (maybe they are reachable if I really put the time and effort into them…) and last year I thought I’d prepare 2 online courses of classical guitar. Despite doing a lot of the prep work I only managed to complete one. I am determined to do 2 this year.
What’s a hidden talent of yours? I don’t consider the things I’m good at as talents per se. I worked hard/practiced countless hours to reach that level. I’m very much of the opinion that we can all become good at something. The main obstacle is people’s belief that they are not naturally gifted. People focus on the “finished result” rather than realise how much work needs to go into getting good at something and they are passing by so many opportunities. We should emphasize the importance of hard work because a lot of people try an activity for a bit and obviously they are not going to be good at it straight away and then they give up because they think they are not “gifted”. No. Don’t give up. It takes a lot of work to become good at something. Mozart played thousands of hours from the age of 4, Olympian athletes train for hours on a daily basis, etc.
Are you religious? Not religious no, but very interested in the History of religions and particularly Buddhism and Shintoism.
What’s something you wish to have at this moment? I would love for the cold weather to stop. I am not functioning very well at cold temperatures. Optimum range: 22 to 35 degrees Celsius.
I’ll tag: @karatam, @anothergayshark, @possibilityofmagic and if you want to do it, consider yourself tagged!
The Elf
First drawing in a long long time… I dare not even think about it…
Used HB, 2B, 3B and 4B plus a bit of graphite (soft) to accentuate a few details.
Quite pleased with the result.
